Well, this past month I’ve had a little bit of a break in between tournaments. My last tournament was at the beginning of December and my next one won’t be until January 23rd. Man, I just can’t seem to get this whole web site thing off the ground and running!  Every time it seems like I get into the swing of things with it, we run into obstacles!  It seems like the very next day after I made my last post entitled, “Back in the Saddle” my website was hacked!  Luckily, my web site man, Dee Gardner, was eventually able to get us straightened out.  We’ve lost the good look we had going with the website though, so we’re back to square 1.  *sigh*  I guess I’ll just start making posts and then hopefully soon we can at least make the website look presentable again.

I’m baaack! Ok, after a long couple of brutal semesters of school, I am going to get back into the swing of things. I was in the midst of getting my website up and going when I started going back to school and it basically owned my life for a while. I got in my second day of pre-fishing yesterday.  I went with a friend, DJ Morrison.  I have to say, it was a little bit of a frustrating day, but it was productive enough.  Yesterday the goal was to try and find a back up plan if my pattern I found my first day of pre-fishing didn’t hold up next week.  I was actually really hoping to find an area with some murkier water to be able to fall back on if I needed to in the tournament, but I had no such luck.   [Read more…]

I fished Lake Travis today in preparation for my ATX tournament there on the 22nd of this month.  It went fairly well.  I’ve established a pretty good pattern that I feel confident will still be there come tournament day.  Actually, I’ve been fishing the same basic pattern at all the lakes I’ve been fishing since the Fishing For Freedom tournament at Belton.  It’s a pretty classic autumn pattern, and I’m actually really surprised that there are very few guys who have got it figured out.   [Read more…]
