Stillhouse Hollow Lake is sitting at full pool with clear water around 6 ft visibility and temperatures near 70°. The fall season is fully here, and bass are scattered. You can catch them on a variety of techniques, but finding big groups or consistent patterns has been tough lately.

There are still large schools of nomadic bass roaming the main lake chasing shad, but they are tougher to find than a few weeks ago. These can be targeted using forward-facing sonar and mid-strolling small minnow-style soft plastics. For anglers looking for bigger bites, a football jig worked along steeper, rocky shorelines has been the best bet.

11/01/2025 – Stillhouse Hollow Lake is sitting just below full pool with clear 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps around 68°. Fall has officially arrived, and so have the ups and downs that come with it. With the weather shifting almost daily, the bass have been just as unpredictable—some days are great, others not so much. Flexibility in lure choice and approach is key right now.

The most consistent bite has been on football jigs fished around rocky structure in 3–15 feet of water. Bass are also hitting hard and soft jerkbaits in those same areas, especially when they’re chasing baitfish close to the rocks. Stay patient, adapt to the changing conditions, and you’ll find quality fish.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake is sitting at full pool with clear water in the 4–6 ft visibility range and temperatures around 76°. Despite the date on the calendar, unusually warm conditions have kept the bass in more of a summer pattern.

The most consistent action has come from targeting nomadic schools of bass with forward-facing sonar. These fish are following shad, so depth, structure, and cover don’t play much of a role. Weightless soft plastic jerkbaits and mid-strolling techniques have been producing the best results.

There are also a few scattered bass to be caught around submerged vegetation and shoreline cover, but those bites have been less consistent lately.

Stillhouse is sitting at full pool with stained water in the 2–4 ft visibility range, depending on location. Days have been bright, sunny, and hot, while mornings have started out cool.

The larger bass are coming from submerged vegetation in 12–20 ft of water, with drop-shot rigged finesse worms being the top producer. For better numbers, we’ve been targeting nomadic schools of open-water bass chasing shad. Small weightless soft jerkbaits and swimbaits have been effective, but forward-facing sonar has been essential for staying on these roaming fish.

Stillhouse Hollow Fishing Report – September 13, 2025

Stillhouse is holding steady at full pool with stained water (2–4 ft visibility) and temps in the low 80s. The most consistent action has been around submerged vegetation in 15–20 feet.

Drop-shot finesse worms are producing well along the deeper grass edges, while glide baits fished over the top of the vegetation are drawing some quality bites. This has been a reliable way to find numbers, and there are definitely some big ones showing up on this pattern right now.
