Stillhouse Hollow produced a couple of nice ones for this father and son duo. Drop-shotting seems to come naturally to the ladies. Another great catch in front of the crowd on Congress bridge at Lady Bird Lake. A cold, wet, and windy day didn’t keep this little man off the water, and he was rewarded! Gotta love fishing at Lake Bastrop He was looking for a shot at catching a Smallmouth Bass here in Texas. Mission accomplished! This kid caught his first ever bass on Lady Bird Lake! This client got in a little time learning how to use a deep crankbait and scored this one on a River2Sea Goon. A client with a Bastrop STUD! Another big Bastrop fish taken on a PowerTeam Lures Tickler on a PowerTeam Lures Pea Head. This little buddy wasn’t super thrilled about “lipping” this bass, so we went for the cradle approach. These kids wanted to learn how to fish with lures, so I tied on a PowerTeam Lures Tickler on some PTL Pea Heads, told them to cast off the back of the boat, and just hold on! She was pretty happy after catching her very first fish on her very first cast! Another Personal Best bass record broken! This client caught this toad at Lady Bird Lake on a PowerTeam Lures Sick Stick. It seems like whenever there are ladies or kids involved, they do all the catching! A nice double taken on Lake Austin by myself and this client. He caught the bigger one 🙂 This client managed to catch his new personal best Largemouth Bass while on Lake Austin. These clients had a pretty good night on Lake Austin catching about 28 pounds for their best five fish. This is one of two 7 pounders this client caught that night. Hoping we had hooked a lunker bass at night on Lady Bird Lake, but this hefty catfish still gave us some fun in the dark. Occasionally we run into a big “bonus catch.” 7lb 8oz Flathead Catfish from Lake Austin Getting teenagers away from the video games for a bit to enjoy the outdoors.
