Lake Travis Fishing Report – November 28, 2025

Lake Travis is sitting about 13 feet low with stained water and 3–4 ft visibility. Water temperatures are around 69°, and the fishing has been solid as bass get set up in more predictable fall locations.

The best action has come from working rocky ledges with brush in 10–25 feet of water using football jigs and finesse worms on a shaky head. We’re also seeing nomadic schools roaming the middle of creek channels early and late each day. Anglers comfortable with forward-facing sonar can chase these fish with jerkbaits and mid-strolling techniques when they show themselves on open-water bait.

Lake Travis Fishing Report – November 18, 2025

Lake Travis is holding around 72° with clear 6 ft visibility, and the fishing continues to improve as water temps cool down. Several patterns are producing right now, and the marinas have been especially consistent. Schools of bass are suspending around the dock structure rather than relating to the bottom, making drop-shot finesse worms and weightless soft plastic jerkbaits great options to work around the docks.

We’ve also been catching fish shallow by throwing weightless soft plastic jerkbaits around brush on rocky flats in less than 5 feet of water. Although the Bass Pro Shops Rock’n Shad is designed for mid-strolling, it has been outstanding as a weightless jerkbait both around the marinas and up shallow. Stay flexible and keep moving—multiple patterns are producing quality fish right now.

Belton Lake Fishing Report – November 12, 2025

Belton Lake is sitting about a foot low with stained 2–3 ft visibility and water temperatures around 67°. The shallow bite has been good recently with the cooling weather and wind.

The best action has come from throwing squarebill crankbaits on windblown rocky points in less than 6 feet of water. This pattern has been producing both largemouth and smallmouth, particularly in areas showing signs of active baitfish. Stay mobile and focus on spots where wind is concentrating baitfish.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake Fishing Report – November 8, 2025

Stillhouse Hollow Lake is sitting at full pool with clear water around 6 ft visibility and temperatures near 70°. The fall season is fully here, and bass are scattered. You can catch them on a variety of techniques, but finding big groups or consistent patterns has been tough lately.

There are still large schools of nomadic bass roaming the main lake chasing shad, but they are tougher to find than a few weeks ago. These can be targeted using forward-facing sonar and mid-strolling small minnow-style soft plastics. For anglers looking for bigger bites, a football jig worked along steeper, rocky shorelines has been the best bet.

Belton Lake Fishing Report – October 23, 2025

Belton Lake is sitting nearly full at only half a foot low, with 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps in the low 70s. The bite has been strong early in the day, especially for smallmouth, with an occasional solid largemouth mixed in. Targeting both steep rocky banks and open-water nomadic fish has been productive.

The best results have come on topwater stickbaits fished tight to steep, rocky shorelines and also cast toward roaming bass spotted on forward-facing sonar. These fish have been chasing shad near the surface, providing some fun topwater strikes when conditions line up.
