12/23/2025 – Lake LBJ is sitting at a normal level with stained water and 2–4 ft visibility. Water temperatures are unusually warm for late December, sitting around 63°, which has kept the lake from settling into more typical winter patterns.
The most consistent bite has come from throwing squarebill crankbaits around shallow rock, along with pitching weightless, compact soft-plastic creature baits around and underneath mid-depth docks. These patterns have been producing under the current conditions and are a solid starting point right now.
