Lake LBJ is at a normal level with water temperatures around 68 degrees and stained water offering roughly 2\u20134 feet of visibility. Bass are positioned shallow, primarily less than 5 feet deep, and relating to any available cover in spawning areas. Fish are in multiple phases of the spawn, with some actively on beds while others are staging nearby, making it important to cover water and key in on productive stretches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weightless soft plastic jerkbaits and drop-shot rigged finesse worms have been producing the majority of bites when worked around shallow cover. The most consistent action has been during low-light periods, with the early morning and evening hours providing better opportunities before the bite tends to slow during the middle of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
