Summer patterns are firmly established, with some of the best fishing coming from nomadic schools of bass roaming open water and chasing schools of shad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weightless soft plastic jerkbaits have been producing well when targeting these roaming fish, with forward-facing sonar playing a key role in locating and staying with the schools. Depth is less important with this pattern, as the bass are relating to baitfish rather than bottom cover or structure. Drop-shot rigged finesse worms fished through submerged vegetation are also producing consistent bites.
