I’m excited to share some big sponsor news! After submitting my application earlier this year, I’ve officially been welcomed onto the Costa Pro Team. Costa is a leader in performance eyewear, and their gear is trusted by anglers worldwide. I’m looking forward to representing them both on and off the water, and I can’t wait to showcase their sunglasses during my guided trips and content this season.
Costa’s motto, #SeeWhatsOutThere, fits perfectly with what I do every day guiding across Central Texas — helping clients experience new lakes, spot more fish, and create unforgettable memories. Their sunglasses don’t just look good, they give a real performance edge by cutting glare and protecting your eyes during long days in the sun.
Why Costa is a Big Deal for Me Personally
I’ll admit something a lot of people who know me already know: I’ve never been one to spend money on premium eyewear. For years I told myself I wasn’t “responsible enough” to own high-end sunglasses. I’d lose them, break them, or scratch them up. So I stuck to $20 pairs — not because I didn’t believe premium eyewear was worth it, but because I didn’t trust myself to keep them in one piece.
Over time, though, I’ve noticed I’ve developed better habits. I’ve held onto my last few pairs for much longer, including a pair of Costas gifted to me by a client that I still wear. Somewhere along the way, I guess I finally got responsible enough to “have nice things.”
That’s part of why joining the Costa Pro Team means so much to me. I know the value their sunglasses bring on the water, and I’m excited to finally represent a brand that I once thought was out of reach for me — in more ways than one.
More Sponsor News: 1st Gen Fishing
In addition to joining Team Costa, I’m also pleased to announce that my renewed agreement with P-Line now extends to their affiliated brand 1st Gen Fishing. 1st Gen is a newer name in the industry but already producing a great lineup of jigs, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and swimbait heads. I’m excited to have the chance to incorporate their tackle into my guided trips and showcase their gear in my content this year.
Looking Ahead
These new partnerships, alongside my existing sponsors — Bass Pro Shops/Nitro Boats, Ardent, and P-Line — mean I’ll be better equipped than ever to put clients on fish and keep sharing more great content. I’m grateful to each of these companies for their support, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead this season!
