Belton Lake is sitting nearly full at only half a foot low, with 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps in the low 70s. The bite has been strong early in the day, especially for smallmouth, with an occasional solid largemouth mixed in. Targeting both steep rocky banks and open-water nomadic fish has been productive.
The best results have come on topwater stickbaits fished tight to steep, rocky shorelines and also cast toward roaming bass spotted on forward-facing sonar. These fish have been chasing shad near the surface, providing some fun topwater strikes when conditions line up.

Lake Austin Fishing Report – October 29, 2025
10/29/2025 – Lake Austin is sitting at a normal level with clear 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps in the upper 60s. The fishing has been very up and down lately—pretty typical for the fall season. We caught them well one day on topwater hollow-bodied frogs, only to have them completely ignore the same bait the next. Staying flexible with lures and presentations is key right now.
The most consistent bite recently has come from drop-shot rigged finesse worms fished on the outside deeper edge of submerged grasslines in 15–20 feet of water. Focus on clean edges of vegetation, adjust your presentations with changing weather, and you can still find quality fish.

O.H. Ivie Lake Fishing Report – October 28, 2025
O.H. Ivie is sitting about 19 feet low with 3–4 ft visibility and surface temps in the upper 60s. The bite has been challenging lately due to strong winds, which have made it tough to effectively target fish using forward-facing sonar. Despite that, we still managed to put some bass in the boat, and conditions should improve as the weather stabilizes.
The most consistent action has come from spinnerbaits fished shallow over submerged vegetation. Anglers who can find a break in the wind can also connect with open-water bass chasing baitfish by using mid-strolling minnow-style soft plastics with forward-facing sonar. With the next calm window, expect the bite to pick back up.

Lake Travis Fishing Report – November 1, 2025
Lake Travis is sitting about 12 feet low with 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps around 72°. The fall weather is cooling things off, and the bite is starting to pick up. Like most autumn fishing on Travis, it’s still a bit up and down, so staying flexible with your lure choices and patterns is important.
The best action lately has come from topwater stickbaits, wake baits, and jerkbaits fished shallow in less than 10 feet of water. Focus on transition areas with a mix of brush and rock—these zones are holding quality largemouth right now. The fish are responding well to the cooler temps, and the topwater bite can be especially fun when they’re active.

Stillhouse Hollow Lake Fishing Report – November 1, 2025
11/01/2025 – Stillhouse Hollow Lake is sitting just below full pool with clear 4–6 ft visibility and surface temps around 68°. Fall has officially arrived, and so have the ups and downs that come with it. With the weather shifting almost daily, the bass have been just as unpredictable—some days are great, others not so much. Flexibility in lure choice and approach is key right now.
The most consistent bite has been on football jigs fished around rocky structure in 3–15 feet of water. Bass are also hitting hard and soft jerkbaits in those same areas, especially when they’re chasing baitfish close to the rocks. Stay patient, adapt to the changing conditions, and you’ll find quality fish.
