I’ve been putting my shoulder to the wheel the last few weeks! It’s been a long time in the making, but I’ve FINALLY put myself in a good spot to try and start being serious about seeking sponsorships to help advance my fishing career. Most everyone in this industry trying to make it as a professional angler eventually realizes that it’s nearly impossible without the support of great sponsors. I’ve put a lot of work into building my reputation and getting my stuff together in order for companies to take me seriously when I approach them about sponsorships. [Read more…]
Wrapping Up This Year’s Tournament Season
Whew! What a crazy couple of months! I don’t know how the guys that fish tournaments nearly every weekend do it. Trying to fish two trails this year was busy enough for me. This year’s regular tournament season has come to a close with only the championships remaining to be fished in the fall. So how’d things end up? I guess it depends on how you look at it. Gettin’ the Season Started Off Right
Long time no blog. So what’s up? Quite a bit. I’ll start off picking up where my last blog post left off at. I believe it was me talking about my boat coming back home soon. Well, it’s home, and it’s been home for a couple months now. Long story short, the motor got rebuilt and runs like a champ now. However, I’ve decided it’s time I moved on and got a new boat. I’m currently working on re-carpeting the rest of the boat and putting in new seats. Once that’s all done, I’ll be selling it. Anyone interested? I’ve been trying to take it out at least once a week to run it, but of course that’s my excuse to fish at least once a week! [Read more…]
Boat Shop Blues
I had to take my boat into the doctor’s office a couple of weeks ago. As is usually the case when leaving the boat with a mechanic… I still don’t have it back yet. I took it in because it started making a pretty bad knocking noise in the upper part of the engine. For any of you that know anything about boat motors, that’s probably not a good sign at all.
