I missed the final regular season TTZ event at Waco yesterday.  I’m pretty bummed about it.  It was a very tough decision since I knew that if we missed it, we wouldn’t qualify to fish the championship.  We’re going to miss the championship now.  Freakin’ sucks.  Yesterday, I woke up at about 1 AM feeling really nauseous.  I knew instantly what was wrong.  Food poisoning.  It was those dang homemade potstickers.  I haven’t thrown up in probably 7-8 years.  As I made my way to the bathroom I thought, ok, maybe if I can just throw up, I’ll feel better and everything will be fine.  Sure enough, I threw up, and well… [Read more…]

I couldn’t be happier with my tournament stats for the year so far.  Well, I guess I could, but it suffices to say that I’m pretty darn pleased with them.  Just finished another tournament yesterday with the Big Sandy Creek Bass Club and Jimmy Lynn and I managed to squeeze out an unofficial 3rd place finish.  I say unofficial because there’s a little controversy right now as of to whether or not the first place team is going to get DQed because of a possible state regulation violation.   [Read more…]

This past weekend I kicked off my 2013 tournament season with the Big Sandy Creek Bass Club and a good finish! It was kind of a spur of the moment type thing, and I had forgotten about wanting to join BSCBC until a week before the tournament. Luckily, I remembered last Sunday and found out their first meeting of the year was the next day on Monday. I went to their meeting and found out their first tournament was coming up on Saturday! The tournament season for 2013 is fast approaching!!!  And I couldn’t be more excited!  Last year was a great year full of highs and lows in my tournament fishing, but in the end, the highs outweighed the lows.  So far since we moved here to Texas about 4 years ago, I’ve been very satisfied with the steps that I’ve taken each year towards ultimately making my way towards the top of the competitive bass fishing world.   [Read more…]
