Austin Bass Fishing Guide & Tournament Angler
We had a tough day on Lake Austin. Bass were scattered, conditions were tough, and I don’t have a magic pattern to share this time. Good luck out there! 😂
Lake Austin is at normal level with stained 2-4 ft visibility water. Water temperatures are in the upper 60s to low 80s depending on which end of the lake you’re at. Late summer can be tricky here, with bass roaming hydrilla edges and suspended in open water.

This one was a grind. We had a tough day on Lady Bird Lake, and there wasn’t much solid information to take away. Sometimes that’s just how it goes! 😂
Lake conditions were typical for early October — normal level, around 2–3 ft visibility with a tannic tint, and warm fall temps under bright skies.
