Lake LBJ is at a normal level with stained water offering roughly 2–4 feet of visibility and water temperatures around 76 degrees. Bass are positioned shallow to mid-depth, generally in water up to 10–12 feet deep, relating primarily to rocky areas with wind blowing into them. Most fish appear to be in a post-spawn phase, and the overall bite has been good.
Drop-shot rigged finesse worms have been producing the most consistent action when worked around wind-blown rock. Focusing on areas receiving wind has been key, as those locations have been holding the most active fish. Slowing down and thoroughly working productive stretches has helped generate multiple bites, with fish often grouped up in smaller high-percentage areas.
