Inks Lake is offering stained water with temperatures around 80 degrees and a water level at normal pool. The best fishing has been around offshore rock where schools of quality bass are feeding on large gizzard shad.
Big topwater baits and large swimbaits have been producing well around these feeding schools. Finding areas holding large concentrations of gizzard shad has been the key to locating active bass. Overall, the fishing has been good.

Lake Waco is offering stained water with 2–4 feet of visibility, water temperatures around 85 degrees, and a water level approximately 2 feet below full pool. The best opportunity for larger bass has been on main-lake flats where fish are feeding on schools of gizzard shad.
Large topwater baits have been producing the best bites around these feeding fish. Drop-shot rigged finesse worms are also producing around wood cover in 10–15 feet of water.
