Inks Lake is at a normal level with water temperatures around 68 degrees and stained water offering roughly 2–4 feet of visibility. Bass are positioned shallow, primarily less than 10 feet deep, and are relating to wind-blown points with hard bottoms. Most fish appear to be in a post-spawn phase, though some are still being found on beds or holding around spawning areas. Fish are grouped up in specific areas, making it important to key in on productive stretches.
Drop-shot rigged finesse worms have been producing the most consistent action when worked through these wind-blown areas. Once a fish is located, slowing down and thoroughly working that area has been key to catching multiple fish. There has not been a strong time-of-day pattern, with fish being caught consistently throughout the day.
