Inks Lake is offering stained water with roughly 2–4 feet of visibility, water temperatures around 81 degrees, and a water level at normal pool. Bass are relating to shallow cover throughout the lake, including rock, wood, docks, and other available structure, with wind-blown areas continuing to produce the most consistent action.

Drop-shot rigged finesse worms and Neko-rigged creature baits have been producing the most consistent bites in less than 5 feet of water. Topwater lures have also been generating quality fish during the first hour of daylight and again late in the evening. Overall, the fishing has remained good, with the best success coming from targeting shallow, wind-blown cover.

Inks Lake is offering stained water with roughly 2–4 feet of visibility, water temperatures around 80 degrees, and a water level at normal pool. Bass are relating to a variety of shallow cover and structure, including wood, docks, grass, and rock, with wind-blown areas producing the most consistent action.

Buzzbaits have been productive when fished shallow early in the morning before transitioning to Neko-rigged creature baits as the sun rises. Focusing on wind-blown stretches and targeting available shallow cover has been the key to finding active fish. Overall, the fishing has been good.

Lake Travis Fishing Report – Flooded Brush Producing Quality Summer Bass (June 25, 2026)

Lake Travis is offering good summer fishing with water temperatures around 83 degrees and clear water providing approximately 4–6 feet of visibility. Although the lake remains roughly 8 feet below full pool, recent water level increases have flooded fresh shoreline vegetation, creating excellent shallow habitat that has been holding some of the better-quality bass.

Neko-rigged creature baits, drop-shot rigged finesse worms, and weightless soft plastic jerkbaits have all been producing well in less than 10 feet of water. The best bite has been around flooded brush on points and flats, where larger bass have been taking advantage of the newly submerged cover. Marinas are also holding plenty of fish, though they have generally been smaller, with most topping out around 3 pounds. Overall, focusing on shallow, freshly flooded brush has been the most consistent pattern for finding quality bass.

Lake Georgetown Fishing Report – Flooded Shoreline Pattern Producing Summer Bass (June 22, 2026)

Lake Georgetown is offering good summer fishing with water temperatures around 80 degrees and stained water providing approximately 2–4 feet of visibility. The lake remains roughly 4 feet above full pool, flooding shoreline vegetation throughout the backs of many creek arms and creating excellent shallow cover for bass.

Chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and 4-inch paddle-tail swimbaits have been producing the most consistent action in less than 6 feet of water. Targeting flooded brush and vegetation in the backs of creek arms has been the key pattern, with bass using the newly inundated cover as both feeding and ambush areas. Covering water with moving baits has been an effective way to locate active fish, and anglers who focus on freshly flooded shoreline habitat should continue to find good success.

Lady Bird Lake Fishing Report – Shallow Post-Spawn Bass & Strong Shad Spawn Bite (May 18, 2026)

Lady Bird Lake is at a normal level with clear water offering roughly 4+ feet of visibility and water temperatures around 74 degrees. Bass are primarily in a post-spawn phase, but the relatively cool start to the summer has kept many fish from fully transitioning into traditional summer patterns. Most productive areas have been shallow flats with submerged vegetation in less than 10 feet of water, where bass continue to group up and feed actively.

Drop-shot rigged finesse worms and Neko-rigged creature baits have been producing the most consistent action when worked through these shallow grass areas. An early morning shad spawn bite has also been highly productive, while areas holding spawning sunfish have continued to attract quality bass throughout the day. Overall, the fishing has been really good, with fish still remaining surprisingly shallow for this time of year.
