Lady Bird Lake is at a normal level with clear water offering roughly 4–6 feet of visibility and water temperatures around 70 degrees. Bass are positioned both shallow and beginning to transition toward offshore post-spawn structure, with many fish still relating to submerged vegetation in and around spawning areas. The lake is largely in a post-spawn pattern, though fish remain concentrated in productive areas.
Light Texas-rigged stick worms, drop-shot rigged finesse worms, and Neko-rigged creature baits have all been producing consistent action. Capitalizing on an early morning shad spawn around hard cover and structure has been highly productive, with bass actively feeding before transitioning to slower fishing around grass later in the day. Covering water early during the shad spawn, then slowing down and working vegetation thoroughly with finesse presentations has been a productive approach.
