Inks Lake Fishing Report – Grass Pattern & Low-Light Bite (March 14, 2026)

3/14/2026 – Inks Lake is at a normal level with water temperatures around 65 degrees and stained water offering roughly 2–4 feet of visibility. Bass are relating heavily to areas with submerged vegetation. Anglers have been finding fish scattered throughout productive stretches of grass, with it being common to get a few bites in a short window before needing to move and locate the next group of fish.

The most consistent bites have been coming on a drop-shot rigged finesse worm and a Texas-rigged ribbontail worm worked slowly through submerged vegetation. Fishing activity has been noticeably better during the low-light periods, with the first couple hours of the morning and the last couple hours of the evening providing the most consistent action.

Inks Lake Fishing Report – Spawn Fishing Heating Up in Shallow Water (Feb 27, 2026)

Inks Lake is sitting at a normal level with stained water and 2–4 feet of visibility, with water temperatures around 64 degrees. Bass are currently in all phases of the spawn, with fish positioned shallow throughout the lake. Water clarity has been gradually improving over the past couple of weeks as conditions continue to stabilize.

Some of the most consistent bites have been coming on drop-shot rigged finesse worms and soft plastic jerkbaits fished around shallow shoreline cover in 1–4 feet of water in spawning areas. The bass are grouped up, so when you catch one fish in an area it’s important to slow down and work that zone thoroughly, as it’s common to catch multiple fish from the same stretch of water.

Lake Marble Falls Fishing Report – Spawn Fishing Around Docks & Rocky Shorelines (March 3, 2026)

Lake Marble Falls is sitting at a normal level with stained water and 2–4 feet of visibility, with water temperatures around 66 degrees. Bass are in various stages of the spawn, with fish positioned shallow throughout the lake as more bass continue moving up to spawn.

Some of the most consistent bites have been coming on wacky-rigged Senkos and weightless soft plastic jerkbaits fished around rocky shorelines and docks in less than 5 feet of water. Slowing down and thoroughly working shallow cover has been key, as many of the bass in these areas are either actively spawning or staging nearby.
